Scent is one of the first things you notice when you enter any home, sometimes it can be very obvious sometimes subtle and discreet but it's always there ready to greet you. What would you like the scent of your home say about you, how would you like to achieve that. Let me show you..

1. The first thing I think about when I need some to freshen up my home is candles. Yes they can change the ambience of your room. I always use made with natural waxes like soy or beeswax and high-quality essential oils. Look for sophisticated scents such as sandalwood, citrus, or cedarwood. Place them strategically around your home, such as in the living room, bathroom, and bedroom.

2. Reed diffusers are amazing, they continuously scent your home. Chose a scent that evokes luxury, white tea or peony. I was in Paris and bought a Sabon Diffuser, at the time I thought it was ridiculously expensive, seven months and it's still showering my living room with it's magnificent scent. The lady in the shop suggested I buy a refill, some reeds and use a small single flower vase, she explained how it was less expensive that buying several at a time.

3. Fresh flowers and flowering plants, will not only add scent to your room but will add texture, visual impact and colour. Flowers and plants bring life to a room also, but do require maintenance.

4. Open windows, it may seem obvious, but opening a window letting the air run through you home will uplift it, it will get rid of any odours already in the room. So keeping a room clean and using linen sprays on fabrics regularly will maintain a clean smelling room. s. Opt for sprays with fragrances like lavender, eucalyptus, or linen itself. Spritz them on your curtains, cushions, and bedding to keep them smelling fresh and luxurious.

   

5. Simmer potpourri, Create a potpourri by simmering a mixture of water, citrus slices, herbs, and spices on the stove. Common ingredients include cinnamon sticks, cloves, rosemary, and lemon slices. This method releases a natural and inviting aroma throughout your home.
